Climate Strategy

Karmar s. a. is strengthening its environmental responsibility in line with the adopted climate strategy of the Bouygues Group. Its goal is to reduce our business ' carbon dioxide emissions by up to 40% by 2030! The companies that make up the group will consistently implement various actions to achieve this ambitious goal.
It is estimated that the carbon footprint left by the companies that make up the Bouygues group in 2019 was 2.9 million tons of CO2. The calculations were based on studies of ranges 1 and 2 and 3A shown in the attached illustration.
- Range 1 and 2 represent 11% of the resulting emissions.: business trips, fuel consumption of construction equipment and energy in office buildings.
- The 3a range is 89% of the emissions caused by: production and transportation of construction materials, waste management, and purchase, use, replacement, and disposal of IT equipment.
HOW DO WE SUPPORT THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE CLIMATE STRATEGY?
We work with local suppliers to reduce freight and therefore the carbon footprint, and our IT policy is to make the most of the equipment. We conduct well-thought-out waste management in offices and construction sites, and also expect to reduce fuel consumption used in transport and for the operation of machines. We take care of less water and electricity consumption in offices and environmental education. In this plan, we have defined goals and action plans in the field of environmental protection. Team participation and the ability to deliver effective actions are the foundation for implementing the strategy's principles-at the local and global levels.
